Quitting Non-daily Smoking Research Study

Are you smoking nondaily and want to quit?
And are you interested in using support materials to help you quit smoking?

We have been conducting studies to develop materials to help people who do not smoke every day with quitting smoking. We are now comparing three different approaches to test what support materials work best. We are looking for nondaily smokers, who want to quit smoking, and who want to use support materials to help them through quitting smoking. Our study is a randomized trial, that is, study participants will be assigned at random to different groups, where each group receives different smoking cessation support materials. If you are 18 years or older, have an iPhone or Android smartphone, and have smoked at least 5 packs over your lifetime, you may be eligible to participate in this research study conducted by faculty at the MGH-Harvard Center for Addiction Medicine.

We will compensate you for your time (up to $150)

Study participation would entail making an attempt to quit smoking while using the assigned support materials to quit smoking over the course of seven weeks, and completing surveys online. There are no in-person study visits.
